Cancellation & Refund

Cancel before dispatch: free

Before we post the book, email us with your order number, or tap ‘Need help?’ on the order page and leave your number — we call you back. We cancel the order and refund the full amount. There is no cancellation fee. If you have not paid yet, you need not do anything: unpaid orders lapse on their own.

After dispatch

We cannot stop a parcel once it is with India Post. If you refuse it or it comes back to us, see “Parcels that come back to us” in Shipping & Delivery.

Damaged, misprinted, wrong or lost copies

You get a free replacement copy or a full refund, as you choose, if:

• the book arrives damaged;
• it is misprinted (for example missing, repeated, blank or upside-down pages);
• you received the wrong item or the wrong number of copies; or
• it is lost in the post (not received within 10 days of dispatch).

Please tell us within 7 days of delivery: email a photo of the problem (and of the parcel label, if you still have it) to mthindialab@gmail.com, or tap ‘Need help?’ on the order page and leave your number — we call you back and tell you how to send the photo. If we need the copy back, we will arrange and pay for the return postage.

Changed your mind?

Email us, or ask for a call-back on the order page, within 7 days of delivery. If you post the book back to us unused, we refund the amount you paid minus the actual postage we paid to send it to you. The return postage is yours.

Wrong or duplicate payments

If you paid twice, paid a wrong amount, or paid for an order that we cancel, we refund the extra or the full amount.

How and when you get your money back

• Refunds go to the original payment method: a payment made through Cashfree goes back through Cashfree to the same UPI account, card or bank account; a UPI payment made directly to us goes back to the same UPI / bank account.
• We send the refund within 5–7 working days of approving it, and tell you on WhatsApp with a reference number. Your bank may take a few more days to show it.
• We never charge a refund fee.
